Chicken Karahi / Kadai

chicken karahi is famous pakistani cuisine,its easy to make.if you want to plan a menu that can be prepared   in 30 mins then make sure you treat yourself with this delicious chicken karahi. by chef zakir..........


  1. chicken small pieces  - 500gms
  2. tomatoes - 3   (roughly  grind)
  3. oil - 3-4 tbs                          
  4. crushed  cumin- 1/2 tsp
  5. crushed coriander seeds - 1/2tsp
  6. ginger garlic paste - 1tbsp
  7. green chilies - 4-5
  8. coriander leaves - 1 bunch
  9. red chilli powder -  1tsp
  10. tumeric - 1/4pinch
  11. salt - as required


  1. heat oil in a kadai, add ginger garlic paste and saute for few seconds
  2. then add crushed coriander and cumin seeds and  stirr
  3. add chicken pieces and cook for 3-4 mins
  4. now add lengthily cut green chillies and coriander leaves and mix well
  5. then add tomatoes(roughly grind ed),salt and red chili powder and tumeric powder and   mix well
  6. cover the kadai with a lid and cook until chicken  is done and water is dried
  7. garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot    with chapati or naan
