Battura

Today is a very special day{REPUBLIC DAY}, so thought of starting the day with a special indian delicacies , so decided of making battura's. soft and fluffy battura's are best eaten with chole..... it is usually made with maida/all purpose flour, but for healthier version i have added  wheat and maida half and half and believe i does'nt make much difference.




INGREDIENTS;

  1. All purpose flour/ maida - 2 cups
  2. Wheat atta - 2 cups
  3. curd - 1 cup
  4. oil- 1 tsp 
  5. salt as required
  6. soda - 1tsp
  7. water to knead the dough
  8. and oil for frying




METHOD;
  1. firstly sieve wheat atta , maida,soda,and salt in a bowl
  2. then add curd and give a mix.
  3.  add water gradually and knead a soft dough
  4. after kneading the dough apply oil and cover the dough with a damp cloth and leave for an hour or so
  5. after an hour divide the dough into equal parts and roll into circle  with the help of rolling pin and deep fry
  6. enjoy the battura's with chole
