Marbel Cake With Simple Chocolate Frosting [pressure cooker cake]

I bake cake in pressure cooker and microwave . I have baked soo many times ,this is first time am blogging my pressure cooker recipe.. i just bake the cake and top it with whatever ingredient i have and my kids just love to eat it....I have made this for those who do not have an oven and would like to get cakes just the way any cake would be out of an oven.  hope all of you would try and let me know too how did it turned out.

  1. butter - 200gm
  2. powder sugar - 11/2 cup
  3. curd - 4tbsp
  4. eggs - 4
  5. all purpose flour/ maida - 2 cup +1/4cup
  6. baking powder - 1tsp
  7. baking soda 1/4 tsp
  8. cocoa powder  - 4 tbsp
  9. milk - 1/2 cup.

  • first preheat the cooker without water with 1cup of salt at the base of the cooker and keep on a low flame till you prepare the cake mixture.
  • Next grease the vessel   ( i used cooker tin round shape as it goes easily inside the cooker) with 1tsp of butter and dust the surface with refined flour evenly and keep aside.

  1. first mix all the dry ingredient Sieve Maida, baking powder, baking soda and salt and keep aside
  2. take a bowl combine butter and powder sugar and make a cream out of it.
  3. then add curd and beat well.
  4. separate the eggs and add the yolks one at a time at the butter sugar mixture.
  5.  now continue beating till it is well combined add vanilla essence  mix it for 30 secs.
  6. in a separate bowl beat the egg whites.
  7. Now gradually fold the egg whites into the batter.
  8. now Add the dry ingredients two spoons at a time and also in between keep adding milk one spoon at a time till you get a thick batter not a runny one.
  9. separate the batter into two bowls ,keep one bowl aside.
  10. take another bowl and  add cocoa powder and mix well.
  11. now take the greased tin pour the plain cake batter and cocoa batter alternatively.
  12. To get the marble look, once u have poured the two batters one by one alternatively, take a fork or a toothpick and make swirls. not just on the top.
  13. Insert the fork / toothpick inside and make the swirls, So not only the top but also inside you have swirls once the cake is done.
  14. once you made the swirls garnish with chopped nuts, tap the tin so that the batter is set evenly.
  15.  once the cooker is hot, put the baking tin inside and close the cooker with the lid and without the weight.
  16. REDUCE the flame to low and cook for about an hr or till a skewer comes out clean.

 Hope you got it...
once the cake is done you can serve it as it it is, as a good tea ime snack or decorate with chocolate frosting
