Indian Carrot pudding

Gajar ki kheer

INGREDIENTS;

  • 2 cups carrot  peeled and finely grated 
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 cup full fat milk
  • basmati rice 2 tbsp(grind coarsely)
  • 2 tbs banched and chopped almonds and pistachio
  • 2 pods cardamom 
  • 1/4 tin condensed milk

preparation;

  • first soak the rice 3-4 hours wash and pat dry  in a paper and then crush the rice not powdered
  • Boil milk in a sauce pan(reduce the milk little) add  rice(crushed) and cook in a slow flame keep stirring for 15-20 mins until the rice gets cooked.
  • now add grated carrots and cook for 10-15mins keep stirring frequently 
  •  add  condensed milk and sugar and chopped almonds and cardamom and cook for more 5-10mins ,stirr frequently.
  • now  put the flame off,cool the mixture 
  •  garnish with pistachio and serve chill

TIPS

  • the mixture should not be too thick nor thin, 
  • if it is thick add some milk

pineapple and pappaya smoothie

ingredients;

  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 1/2cup milk
  • 2 cups chilled and chopped pinapple
  • 3/4 cup cups roughly chopped pappaya
  • 6 tbps of sugar
  • ice cubes

serves ; 2

preparation;

  • Use fresh fruits and curds
  • Add curds to the mixer 
  • then add the chilled full fat milk
  • add the fruits , sugar and ice cubes and blend  together  all the ingredients  until they are smooth and juicy
  • pineapple pappay smoothie is ready to be served
  • you must serve the smoothie immedietly on making
  • yummy and healthy drink for kids

kheema kofta curry


ingredients;

for kofta's;

  1. kheema 300 gms
  2. potato 4 cubes
  3. green chilli 1
  4. coriander leaves 1 cup
  5. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  6. 1/2 onion
  7. 1/2 of chilli powder
  8. 1/2 tsp of black pepper
  9. 1/2 tsp of garam masala powder
  10. 1/4 of tumeric
  11. 1 tsp poppy seeds
  12. salt to taste 


for gravy;

 ingredients ;

  1. 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste
  2. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  3. salt to taste
  4. 1/4 onion
  5. 1/2 jeera 
  6. 1 tomato 
  7. garam masala assorted pieces
  8. 2tsp curd

preparation;

for kofta;

  • blend all the kofta ingredients together in blender with out adding water to a dough form and keep aside

for gravy; 

  • heat oil in a pan add chilli powder . tumeric powder, ginger-garlic paste and water and cook for 2mins
  • now take the kofta mixture and give them a ball shape
  • add these balls to the pan  and cook on both the sides  few minutes mean while make a paste of the following ingredients;

  • (  fry the 1/4chopped onions to golden brown along with 1/2 tsp jeera and assorted garam masala and blend this together with 1 small tomato (blanched),2 tbsp of curd)

  • now add this paste to the koftas and close the lid and cook for 10 mins in a medium flame 
  • koftas are ready to be served 
  • a great side dish for parotta,chappati and it can also be served with rice varieties
